3 Remaining Gas Lines of Phase 14 of S. Pars to Be Launched, Completed by Yearend

Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade and Head of Industrial Development and Renovation Organization (IDRO) says by the end of the current Iranian year, the three remaining gas lines of the mega project of Phase 14 of South Pars will be launched and completed.

Ali Nabavi said that with the launch of the gas lines of Phase 14 of South Pars, the amount of gas production will hit 2b cubic feet per day, adding that the first gas line of Phase 14 came on stream in March with the daily capacity of 500m cubic feet.

Nabavi then noted that following the trust of Oil Ministry, IDRO as the leader of the fully Iranian consortium of this mega project with the goal of improving the domestic manufacture capability has taken action to attract participation of the domestic capable manufacturers like the knowledge-based companies based on their maturation.  He noted that currently the average usage of domestic production and service capability in different parts of the Phase 14 project of South Pars has surpassed 68%.

Touching upon the maximum usage of the production and services capability, Head of IDRO said that indigenization of Phase 14 of South Pars is comprised of four pars of offshore platforms, offshore pipelines, onshore refinery and offshore drilling.

Nabavi then said in the field of platforms, indigenization so far has progressed by 74%, in the field of pipeline this figure is 46%, in the field of onshore refinery the indigenization has materialized for 74% and the figure stands at 60% in the drilling and on the whole Phase 14 is the most Iranian-made project in South Pars.

He then pointed to some other domestic capabilities being used in the project like the 30,000 ton steel structures of the project which has been fully home-made.
