IDRO Investing in Herbal Medicines Refinery of Kermanshah Province

Referring to this point that developmental organizations like IDRO considering the general policies of the Article 44 of the Constitutions can have joint investment along with non-government sector in the advanced industries with high technology and risky industries in any part of the country, Mr. Mohsen Salehinia said that considering the significance of producing standard material in the field of the herbal medicines and correct guidance of the cultivation process and production of the plants, the project of building herbal medicines refinery has been put on the agenda.

He went on to say that the project for investing in building the refinery with 40% participation of IDRO and 60% participation of the knowledge-based private sector with reliance on the knowledge and using the existing capabilities in the country is carried out with an aim at offering the natural effective medicines products and products with more value added with the possibility of presence in the global markets.

Mohseninia noted that Kermanshah Province is the place where the project is to be carried out with an estimated budget of 1,120b rials.

This refinery will enjoy having capacity for producing different types of essence and different kinds of natural medicines in accordance with the modern and up-to-date standards. Cultivation of medical herbals and producing their products can be considered a national necessity in the framework of certain and comprehensive program, medical self-sufficiency, occupation and development in the agro sector and it can be an effective factor in earning forex for the country.
