Support and Participation in Reactivating HEPCO
Deputy Industry, Mine and Trade Minister and Head of Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO) announced the support and participation of IDRO in reactivating Heavy Equipment Production Company (HEPCO).
Mohsen Salehinia pointed to the request of representatives of Central Province to Majlis last year and the approval of the minister of industry, and said IDRO as chosen as the custodian for advancing the revival of HEPCO.
He added that referring new orders to HEPCO for manufacturing mineral machineries, organizing the way of imports of different types of mineral machineries to the country and taking advantage of this opportunity for reactivating the manufacturing capacities as well as offering services by HEPCO will be pursued and materialized by IDRO.
According to Salehinia, pursuing the provision and offering guarantee letters to customers and getting banking facilities for purchasing required parts from overseas companies and domestic raw material for production and achieving the goal for sales of some 500 sets of different mining machines by the yearend are of the other measures of IDRO for support and revival of HEPCO.
He noted that these measures have led to signing of a contract for sales of 110 different types of mining and road building machineries like contract for manufacturing grader with Iran Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization, manufacturing dump trucks and mining trucks for big mines of the country as well as producing the first series of 22-ton hydraulic excavator in HEPCO.
HEPCO due to some problems like inefficient management, international sanctions, lack of enough support from domestic production and bad privatization in the past years had faced several problems like slump in production and elimination of this brand from the road and mining machineries market.
