MAPNA, Esfarayen Co. Sign Deal on Manufacturing Locomotive Axel
On the final day of the International Exhibition of Rail Transportation and Related Industries and Equipment (Rail Expo 2021), the senior officials of MAPNA Locomotive Engineering and Manufacturing Company and Esfarayen Industrial Complex Company signed an agreement for implementing the manufacturing of 224 locomotive axels.
According to the agreement which was signed by Mohammad Eslami Esfehani and Ali Malek at the Pavilion of Iranian Mines, Mining Industries Development and Renovation (IDRO), Esfarayen Company ordered MAPNA the manufacture of 160 Map 24 locomotive axels as well as 64 MAP30 locomotive axels.
Indigenization of types of locomotive and cargo and passenger wagon axels by IDRO and Esfarayen Company has saved the country over 2b euros.
Esfarayen Industrial Complex Company is one of the affiliate companies of IDRO and one of the biggest manufacturers of steel and alloy parts in the country.
