Iran to Save $5b Annually by Producing Bio-Implant

Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade and Head of Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO) during his visit of the implementation of bio-implant project in Kermanshah said that by producing bio-implants, the country would save some $5m annually.

Mr. Amir Bayat said that with the operation of yellow phase of soft-tissue of natural base bio-implant, like heart-vascular valves and tendon ligaments, in Kermanshah and Shamsabad sites, the country would save some $5m per annum.
He then pointed to the developmental role of IDRO in the less developed provinces with an approach of launching modern industries, saying that the value of investment of IDRO and non-governmental sectors in the project equals to $32m which creates 120 direct jobs for specialists.
Bayat added natural basic bio-implants are produced based on the modern technology in the world and it has the most adaptability to the bodies in surgeries and medical treatments.
He also pointed to the appropriate interaction of health ministry regarding issuance of principal agreements for experimental production of types of natural base bio-implants. He added with finance of 300b rials, this project under the framework of national campaign on production will be inaugurated in the year of surge in production.
