IDRO to inaugurate 24 projects worth $2.7b by March 2019

Iran’s Industrial Development and Renovation Organization (IDRO) will put 24 industrial projects worth 115 trillion rials (about $2.738 billion) into operation in the current Iranian calendar year, director for planning and development in the organization announced.

Mohammad Nouri Amiri said these projects will create jobs for about 17,000 persons, IRIB reported.
IDRO has also implementation of five large projects underway focusing on promotion of domestic manufacturing and transfer of technology, Amiri said, adding that these projects worth 343 trillion rials (about $8.166 billion) can create jobs for the average number of 24,000 persons per year.
As Head of IDRO Mansour Moazzami has previously announced, within the next four years the organization will create 30,000 jobs using 500 trillion rials (about $11.9 billion) of investments.
“Investing in deprived areas stands among top priorities of IDRO and among the named ongoing projects, 10 are being implemented, using 43 trillion rials (above $1 billion) investments in the less developed areas of the country,” the official said adding that these projects have created 5,000 jobs in these regions.
