Tehran, Feb 24, IRNA – An official with Industrial Development and Renovation Organization (IDRO) discussed ways of promoting industrial cooperation between Tehran and Madrid with the director general of Spanish Chamber of Commerce for international affairs.

During the meeting Iranian official Ali Araqchi explained capabilities of IDRO in different fields including rail industries while Jose Vincent Gonzalez commented on investment in various sectors such as oil and gas, auto making, ship building and educating industrial managers.

Based on the latest statistics released in Eurostat website affiliated to European Commission, Iran-EU trade exchanges have had an upward trend over the past two years. Iran-EU trade exchanges in 2015 stood at 7.689 billion euros while the figure hit 13.744 billion euros in 2016.

EU’s imports from Iran reached 4.496 billion euors in 2016, up by 5.4 percent compared to the figure for the year earlier.
