The Chairman of Industrial Development & Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO) Mr. Mansour Moazami says the number of auto parts exporting companies will increase from 15 to 60 during the post-JCPOA.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony of the 12th International Auto Parts Exhibition in Tehran, he said that after the JCPOA, it was decided that the number of auto parts exporting companies which manufacture high-quality products would increase.
He said that 15 companies currently export their auto parts products and the number will reach 60.
He added that in agreement with Renault Company it has been stipulated that those Iranian auto parts manufacturers which manufacture high-quality products could export their products.
Moazami noted that Iran’s automotive industry has progressed significantly in recent years as the industry manufactured more than 1.35m units of vehicles last year and the figure will be enhanced to 1.6m this year.
Moazami who is also deputy industry, mine and trade minister went on to say that the automotive industry should materialize manufacturing of 3m units of vehicles by 2025.
He reacted to some complains about the number of Chinese companies in the exhibition, adding that the organizers cannot stop companies from attending the exhibition as the exhibition is an opportunity for all countries and companies.
He admitted that if local auto parts manufacturers want to compete in the global market, they should merge or work together.
570 local and 510 foreign companies from 23 countries are participating in the three-day exhibition which kicked off yesterday.
Turkey, China, Taiwan, South Korea, India, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Denmark, Belgium, Poland, the UAE, Austria, Australia, Spain, Japan, Sweden, France, UK, Argentina, Romania, Brazil and Indonesia are present in the exhibition where the new technology and equipment in auto-part manufacturing are put on display.
