Dr. Moazzami: IDRO to Launch 37 Projects in Current Calendar Year

The chairman of the board of directors of the Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran has said that IDRO is committed to support the private sector.

Dr. Mansour Moazzami, who is also the deputy industry minister, added that more participation of IDRO in national development in line with job creation and employment is among the organization’s responsibilities.

Addressing a meeting of managers and members of the board of directors of the companies affiliated with IDRO with the aim of outlining prioritized activities in the current Iranian calendar year (March 2017-March 2018), he referred to this year’s name as the Year of Resistance economy, Production, and Job Creation, saying that despite all the difficulties the past year was a good year and as economic indices indicate the country is moving toward stability and a comeback to wisdom is being promoted in the country.

The chairman of the board of directors of the Industrial Development and Renovation Organization stressed that 37 projects with an estimated investment of 20,000 billion rials have been defined for the current year. Such an investment will create 8,000 jobs within the framework of the resistance economy.

Moazzami went on to say that the projects require lots of work. The country and national officials expect IDRO to realize the objectives outlined by the Supreme Leader.

The deputy minister of industry, mining, and trade referred to the role of IDRO in supporting the private sector, saying that the high volume of work and IDRO’s commitment to boost participation in national development are due to the organization’s responsibilities.

The chairman of the board of directors of IDRO added that the foothold of IDRO is seen today in every large industrial project across the country. “Returning to the main responsibilities of IDRO is our responsibility. We hope we will see again the time IDRO project are worth around $10 billion.”

Elsewhere in his remarks, Dr. Moazzami emphasized the need for utilizing the most of domestic capabilities, saying: “Job creation is the biggest concern for us. So, the use of domestically-made goods is necessary more than the past.”

The chairman of the board of directors of the Industrial Development and Renovation Organization IDRO boasts a good track record which can help the organization promote its activities. “The existing problem is the lack of courage in making decision. Managers should boost their courage and speed in making decisions.”
